Jailbreak For iPhone 3GS Available
Eric Calouro | Jul 03, 2009 | Comments 1
The jailbreaking application for the iPhone 3GS which was codenamed: “purplera1n” by George Hotz is officially online for download. Currently, the application is only for Windows-based systems (excluding Windows 7) and requires users to have the latest version of iTunes, and of course, iPhone O.S. 3.0 for the 3GS.
A similar jailbreak should be coming soon for Mac users, according to Hotz.
If you’re willing to do this, Hotz warns that you should back-up your data (obviously), otherwise, you’ll be in the crapper and nobody will feel bad for you.
You can download the jailbreak here.
