MySpace Edits Logo, Leaving It Without a Motto
Bertrand Vasquez | Jul 02, 2009 | Comments 0
Yesterday afternoon, the MySpace team removed the slogan, “A place for friends” from underneath the Myspace logo. Something I find interesting though is that the motto still appears in the title bar of my web browser. At the moment, nobody really knows the reason why. According to the TechCrunch report, “MySpace PR is as usual not responding” to inquiries about the change. The change might be part of a little clean-up act, by that I mean change a few things, the team promised. Speaking of change, there’s word that at login they ask you to sign into your e-mail account and invite friends and that the team will be removing some of the ads, the ugliest ones to be exact. Are these things part of the clean-up act? Or are they a response to slow ad sales and fewer people joining the site? They’re pretty secretive about this stuff.
